Our fundamental principles and working methods are laid down in the GfbV Guidelines.
Project description
The "Green Hydrogen Organisation" (GH2) plans to intensify the production of hydrogen in Namibia.
The legal, social, economic and ecological impact of such a project on indigenous communities in Namibia is largely unclear. There are plans for a three-day workshop in Lüderitz, Namibia,to aims to strengthen the local indigenous community's understanding of the consequences of hydrogen production
Project aims
- The aim of the workshop is to raise the awareness of the local indigenous population for the consequences of hydrogen production.
- The workshop features presentations by experts from various social, ecological and legal disciplines. These presentations will form the basis for subsequent working groups which will analyse the problems and critical appraisals of the various aspects from their standpoint as indigenous authorities.
- The end result of the workshop is a strategy paper which will be the basis of the future dialogue between indigenous peoples and project stakeholders.
